Arson and criminal damage in Billingborough

Incident 554 07/08/18

On Tuesday evening 7th August just before 6.30pm Emergency Services were called out to reports of a small grass fire on the lower bank of the stream that runs under Billingborough Road, Horbling. The targeted part of the bank is adjacent to The Rec (Billingborough playing fields) and well used by walkers.   

This was a ‘deliberate ignition’ and an offence of arson!

2 teenage males were seen leaving the area at around the time the fire started. They were last seen disappearing on foot over the road at the field side of The Primary School. 1 youth was described as wearing a white short sleeved T. Shirt patterned with dark blue spots.

 

Incident 171 08/08/18

Sometime overnight Tuesday 7th & Wednesday 8th August criminal damage has been caused to the security lock on the gates to the allotments, Birthorpe Road, Billingborough.

This is the 2nd time in 5 weeks and the 3rd in 5 months such mindless damage has been caused to the locks.
